Senecio Rowleyanus 'String of Pearls'

Available in a 4" and 6" growers pot.

String of pearls, named obviously for its unique appearance. They're native to the warm, dry climate of South Africa.

This special succulent adds such a fun pop to any plant collection. They are extremely easy to propagate by stem cutting, or by simply curling a string up on the soil and allowing it to root terrestrially.

Watering - During the warmer season this plant takes waterings when it is mostly dried out. In the more dormant season you can cut back on watering and allow it to stay dry. If you notice the pearls starting to pucker, that is a sure sign they're thirsty.

Sunshine - These pearls require a consistently bright space but do not enjoy much direct harsh afternoon sun. Hanging it in a south facing window usually does the trick.

Planter - We recommend a pot that isn't too deep, since this plant has a fairly shallow root system. Clay pots are great for their water-wicking abilities. Pair that with a well draining soil mix and you have some happy pearls!
